About This Project

This website documents the lives of Iranians who lost their lives during the years of the Islamic Republic’s rule over Iran.

Since 1979, thousands of people — children, women, men, and the elderly — have been brutally killed, disappeared, imprisoned, tortured, or forced into exile.

Some were shot in the streets during protests.

Some died in prisons.

Some were executed after unfair trials.

Some were killed in specific events that many Iranians remember, such as:

■ Nationwide national uprising 18, 19 Dey (8–9 January 2026)

■ The Woman, Life, Freedom uprising (2022–2023)

■ The protests of Aban 1398 (November 2019)

■ The downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 (8 January 2020)

■ The protests of 18 Tir (Kooy-e Daneshgah) (July 1999)

■ And many other moments in which Iranians demanded dignity and freedom

Each person remembered here has a page.

On each page you can see:

■ Their name, age, and photograph

■ Their province or hometown

■ The date of their death or disappearance

■ The event in which they lost their life

■ A short story about who they were

■ The location of their grave (if it exists)

When you click on a photograph, you learn about a human life — not just a number.

Why This Project Exists

Collecting these names has been difficult.

Families were and still are threatened. Many family members and friends who were vocal were arrested, silenced, imprisoned, or mysteriously killed.

Many victims were buried quietly or disappeared without trace.

Because of this, the list is still incomplete.

This website is an ongoing effort to document every life we can find. As families, friends, and researchers share information, the archive grows.

No life should disappear from memory.

One Nation

The people remembered here come from every corner of Iran.

Different provinces.

Different languages.

Different religions and backgrounds.

But they all shared one identity:

They were Iranians.

They belonged to one land, one history, and one flag.

This project exists so their names remain part of that history.

A Living Archive

This website is not finished.

It grows as more people contribute information, photographs, and stories.

If you know someone whose name should be here, you can help us document their life.

Together we can make sure their stories are remembered.
